If we rent a car at the San Juan Airport to go to Fajardo. Can we take it with us to Culebra in the Cargo Ferry or do we have to leave it in Fajardo?

YES – you have to leave your car in Fajardo.

We are traveling from San Juan to Culebra and will rent a car and leave it at the Fajardo ferry parking lot for 2 days. Is this acceptable? ALSO…I can’t find the correct current telephone # to find out if the ferry runs on Thanksgiving, Nov. 27. Do you have any idea whether they do or not?
    Thanks
    Trisha

Do you feel it is prudent for us to leave a rental car at Fajardo to then use the ferry to get to Culebra? Thanks.

We would like to take the ferry to Culebra (midweek)
on the 9:00am, and visit the beaches using the public bus. What time should we arrive at the docks to purchase tickets? Or would it be better for us to reserve a spot on the cargo ferry and take our rental vehicle with us?

Jacqui – I would not bring your rental car on the cargo ferry….it breaks the rental contract of most companies.
